Digital Me and Bordermanager

If it does what I want --- give me a secure identity that I can use in Internet commerce, then I neither care how simple nor how complex the plumbing is. That is the beauty of designing end user products. The concept here is what is important.

Having patched together plenty of software demos for new products, including a demo to IBM of a paint program for the IBM EGA within a month of its announcement by IBM to prove that paint programs would make the product look good (took CGA images, figured out the EGA board memory map, put four of them into one EGA image, and played with the EGA color look-up table while claiming to IBM we had the software that created them on the EGA --- and we did within another few months.) it doesn't really matter how you put it together at this stage as long as you know what you want to have as the end result.

I couldn't care what Digital Me is a hybrid product of at this point. I'm proposing a mass market use of NDS for a product consumers can buy and businesses involved in ecommerce can use.

A hot NDS product in the making!

Its not a hybrid BM product. It is a product that might incorporate BM as part of its delivery mechanism but the prime product components are NDS and XML browsers. You don't need BM to have NDS now provide Certificate Authority to the NDS tree. In fact, BM is a service that requires the Cert. Authority service.

This will be a new "ZEN" type product. It likely will be one of the first output ZENs of the "Ten ZENs" that has been demanded of Product Development from Eric.

After you all see the demo that I saw of Digital Me you will get as excited as I was. I was really impressed and can easily see big subscribership when its publicly available. I currently am like Chris Stone in that I have about 20-30 unique digital personnas in the Internet. It would be highly valuable if/when Digital Me can reduce me down to one Digital Personna. And so much could be leveraged from NDS after a large subscribership starts up.
