Longport, Inc. Files With FDA

SWARTHMORE, Pa., Jan. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Longport, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: LPTI -
news) has announced today that it has filed with the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) for 510(k)
Clearance for its Longport Digital Scanner (LDS)(TM) technology. The soft tissue scanner is a
20MHz portable ultrasound unit that captures images at a depth of two (2) cms below the surface of
the skin. These images can be transmitted over the Internet for interpretations at remote sites. The
LDS has a variety of applications including dermatology, burn assessment and sports medicine.

The Company is also pleased to announce its affiliation with the Yale School of Nursing and
Courtney H. Lyder, ND, GNP. Dr. Lyder will be the Principal Investigator of a clinical trial
investigating the risk for pressure ulcer development in black, elderly patients admitted to the Yale -
New Haven Hospital. Dr. Lyder has applied for a multi-million dollar grant to the National Institutes
of Health (NIH) to study 768 elderly subjects at risk for pressure ulcer development with the
Longport Digital Scanner playing a prominent and critical role in identifying pressure ulcers in these
patients.
