Rude- Late night (ghoulish?) theater..... IMO-The next couple days are a probably a pretty big (near and medium-term) watershed for Compaq (and its shareholders)....(Case 1) If, for some reason, Compaq does NOT acheive the mean analysts earnings on Wednesday, the timing of AV "announcement" is going to look really bad (and stink to high heaven)...Disillusionment all the way around...and a long time for CPQ (the stock) to recover..a hit, and then more malaise for longs...... (Case 2) On the other hand, after Tues. AV, and if Wed. brings the expected good earnings + positive forward announcement, and the icing being Friday's analyst meeting, CPQ should burst from the its current position, give us some rocket fuel (and stay there)...50's would seem to be our happy home in that case...and 40's a distant memory.... Alright then, the stage is set.....Ain't no turning back... I am betting (like most here) that Compaq comes through in the clutch on Wed...it would simply be too amateurish for (listed) case (1) to take place... So, until further notice, I say "Yeehaw".... BTW- All bets are off if Brazil decides to cancel Carneval...
