I agree, but I don't think that's a good reason for trading stocks which are in a bear market -- at least on the long side. I think any number of people on this thread have entered a short-term trade in OS, only to end up a long-term investor. But if you can do it successfully, great.

Well, I'd agree that when the oil coming out of the ground is fully depleted, demand will outweigh supply. Of course, I wouldn't want to be owning SLB or RIG at that point in time. <G>

Seriously, IMO, the mere fact that oil is a depleting resource does not mean the glut has to disappear prior to oil becoming a sunset industry. I do believe the glut will disappear, though, due to economic forces.
