Well, you made me get out my atlas. Sure enough, Peoria is basically due north of St. Louis. I recalled that some of Illinois was what you could call south of St. Louis, though I guess southeast would be more accurate, but definitely not Peoria.

When you were younger did you ever get to hear Bill Veeck give a talk? He owned a couple of teams and was funny like you can't believe.
