Here is a humble question from a former Compaq follower: If one wants to buy alta vista shares, what is the best (cheapest) way to go about it? 1. buy compaq now and hope the share ratio is fair 2. buy compaq after earnings hoping for disappointment and lower cost 3. wait for IPO and buy at market
