I don't remember DMM history because I was into other things at that time.

On Sunday I was talking to RT about high value stones and we both remembered that Argyle holds the world record for the highest per carat price ever. It was in 1985 in a private sale which according to Randy was a Texas oil man. The cut and polished pink was only 0.95 carats and the price was over $900,000 per carat. The details are all in a post that I did for Spence a couple of weeks ago. The color was a deep purply red.

Randy said in passing that colored stones are not likely to be a significant factor at Snap.
