Tom,

You made some valid points--however one of the ongoing challenges continues to be the shareholders continue to verbalize and speculate a large number of possibilities / scenarios ( and that is a good trait for healthy dialogue)--unfortunately the company doesn't see it as an important issue to keep the shareholders informed so that we can put to rest the rumors and speculation and see what the whole picture looks like that we have invested our money with.

My guess is that the company management may beg to differ--claiming they have issued news releases in the past---but news releases about what?--just very vague and general industry jargon. JMO!

Some have stated recently on this thread that it might not be until June when certain opportunities materialize--if that becomes the scenario then I would view it as very sad--then another September --then December--then wait until next year.

We really deserve an update from the company and the longer it takes to be released the higher my expectation level will be.

What are they doing? Is all the Management riding back and forth on the barges all the time. I know they are not spending any of their time answering e-mails. Are they aggressively following up on the Government Grant opportunities--at one time there was banter that there was 4 or 5 million dollars available as grant money! My guess is that that they will get NADA! ( Nothing!) until they become fully reporting! This reporting issue is starting to sound very fishy to me--what's going on!

Well I guess we should just continue to speculate and see what rumors are out there regarding NYRR--I've heard some dandies--but at his time I will refrain from posting them. Like someone once said until information is factual and officially issued on the companies lettor head for public distribution--then it's just rumor and hearsay! JMO!

Based on the recent share price someone either wants out of NYRR Shares in a bad way---or someone is keeping the price at these levels and lower because theywant our shares! JMO!

Tom, I really feel that although the barge and trash opportunities can add to the revenue stream I think that will be a more minor part of NYRR's future business growth--but JMO!

Best Regards,

Wayne J.

I don't know why you don't say which political figure in Virginia you are listening to.

Guliani and the Government of Virginia are in a pissing contest because the Mayor said Virginia should be grateful to receive the garbage since NYC provides so much culture for Virginia tourists.

Virginia dump sites are making money from NYC trash. They don't want to stop making the money, but concern grows that too many barges will fowl the waters. Since barging is the cheapest form of shipment, NYC wants to stick to barges and is spending millions with the trash companies (Check out Waste Management and prior posts) to build more shipping points for barged trash in sealed containers..

After all the posturing settles down and Fresh Kills is closed, there will be more trash than ever going to Virginia by barge. Trash goes north out of the Bronx by rail now.

You have a very good point that Queens/Brooklyn trash in sealed containers could go out by rail over NYCH from Sunset Park instead of by barge from Red Hook. But the economies of the situation dictate barging to Virginia for many years to come.
