JBird777, Aha, now I see what you are saying. That strategy, however, has a large possibility of total wipeout if DELL falls and you are margined to the hilt. Hence it needs constant monitoring which is not (IMHO only) compatible with buy-and-hold. And of course you have to have considerable market timing skills. Now, what if one possesses such a skill and employs that to leverage the LEAPS strategy by rolling up and out continually? I suspect that gains will be better than the earlier margined strategy. In any case, market timing is an impossible trade IMO. -Apratim.
