>That's a neat chart. Definitely shows what I see in a different format. Did I understand that you cannot get intraday information?

That's correct, Berney - the chart was generated by METASTOCK using only open/high-low/close data. Frankly this software does a lousy job with P&F charts, IMHO. And I haven't found a quote.com or iqc.com like chart generator for P&F on the web yet.

I was thinking that the P&F format might make it easier for us to recognize that particular pattern you are interested in.

I'll ask over at the P&F sandbox.

It's daze like this that I am glad to be somewhat diversified into drugz and retailz. But I *hate* having MRK in my core. MRK is the most ill-behaved bellwether of any sector... steams along fine and then wham! Well, mebbe C is worse (^_^) But WMT is a great bellwether for the retailz - that baby can pull the freight.

Japs fought back, hit one carrier! Scuttle the Enterprise and blow that last Jap carrier out of the water! Then full steam the fleet back to home port, dude!

...may the ghost of Jeb Stuart ride with you !

Berney/All in USA, RE; Options trading in an IRA

This is the response I received from Dreyfus today:

Link: edreyfus.com

-------
Christopher Shapter,

Yes we allow option trading in IRA accounts. You may sell covered calls and buy puts and calls long in an IRA account.

Dreyfus Brokerage Services

Kool,

christopher

PS I'm all for tax defered trading. <g>

PPS If anyone has been getting slow service from Etrade lately, try using the etrade classic site. It has been much better than the new site for me.

A Question for The Dudes

A good folk, somewhat concerned about the potential problems of Y2K, asked me what was the "best" method to acquire some gold. Frankly. with all the jitters, I believe this individual is in front of the curve.

By public or private message, what do you feel the best method to acquire some of the yellow stuff, and what percentage of investment assets do you think is reasonable to acquire? I believe that this individual's question represents a very interesting investment potential. IMHO it's only going to increase, and XAU is near a low.
