Although this Republican misuse of majority power has hurt this country, it is also a tribute to our founding fathers. The great minds that formed this wonderful democracy knew that a political party could not be trusted with the power to overturn an election with only a 50% vote. Our Democracy works. Our Constitution works. These demagogic Republican Thugs will not be allowed to overthrow our country's leader! Our Democracy has withstood the ruthless attacks by Communists, by fascists and now by the radical religious right, which has the Republican Party in their hip pocket. The Republican Party, home of the gold ole boys that give their leader, Livingston, a standing ovation when they find out that he has cheated on his family and wife for many years and with many affairs. Who are the people going to trust in 2000!
