jay...ADSL G-lite has a max of 1.5 m ....some of the telco's are not deploying glite with it's max capacity.

They are limiting the 1.5m speed to 384kb in California and Bell Atlantic is limiting support to 640kb...half speed.

Bell South is deploying adsl g-lite at 1.5m.

My point earlier is that ADSL G-lite is not not the same in all places. So what you pay $40 a month for at Bell South get's you twice as much bandwith as Bell Atlantic and 4 times as much as some telco's in California.

From a previous post we have details of GTE support for $80 a month.

....just a bit of info so consumers are aware of what they are paying for...
