Thanks all for brilliant posts. I have a question regarding AV spin off. Do CPQ shareholder get any share in AV IPO? After today's action there is no point (for few months at least) holding large CPQ position unless we get some pie in AV!!

I don't think it was mentioned in the earning report. It was Tax credit Compaq got in the DEC merger. It is equivalent to 5 cents not 0.5 cents.

I think the quarter is not as good as I had expected. The Revenue was close to target. The earning was in line considering the tax credit. Cash reserve is still at $4B. But the street were looking for top line not the bottom line. $10.8B missed EP's goal of $11B. The increase in % was misleading since that was compared with Compaq without DEC. The real growth was not that impressive.

I have not sold a single share. I will add to my holding at this level.
