Hi Bernie, I noted that RFH has his min. dollar amount set at $100, but the controlling value is his 100 share minimum. Newport looks at which is ever the greater in value and determines the next buy and sell prices based upon that larger value.

For Newport's sake, it's best to keep the dollar minimum near the share min. in value - only because the program takes less time to do its calculations that way.

Best regards, Tom

Well, Bernie, we are all invited to this party, so don't feel like you don't belong! Tom already answered for me regarding your observation. The minimum number of shares is set to 100, and this is the parameter that Newport will use, until the stock slips below $1 per share. My enthusiasm for GUMM was indeed premature. It closed today at 13 7/16, down about 1 1/4 for the day. I haven't checked the GUMM board yet, but I guess their announcement did not come through today. I was considering placing a stop order at 14 before the market opened, but was pressed for time and didn't get around to it. I'll have to rethink my strategy on this one, since Newport really wants me to take some money off the table. Thanks for your comments. It's always great hearing from you.

Sincerely,
RFH
