Michael, GM trucks aren't half bad either. If I can knock 25% of the MSRP with a combination of my buying service and my credit card rebate it becomes a downright compelling deal. I don't think the Saturns qualify for the rebate. Saturn is technically a separate company, no?

Mike, American cars have come a long way on quality and they don't rot out like the Japanese cars. My brother has a 1986 Chevy Suburban 3/4 ton w 454 ci with 162000 miles- original engine- the compression is excellent & no significant oil burning , orig. trans.. . He has had it since 1988 w 28000 mi. among the parts failed are two starters, one alternator, one carb, some other stuff but it has been reliable. A true redneck buys American! -g- Mike
