What a religion. Bathed in blood you truly are. You deserve your God, but the rest of the world,or at least those with peaceful religions, do not deserve YOU. And the human species will be mired forever in hate, bigotry and violence while your religion remains dominant- at least in its messianic, violent form.

but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man. This was surely an act of mercy. Yes Del,an act of mercy, they were saved alive. They were not to be killed because the female children were no threat to the people of God. I would help you understand the dynamics at work here,(they are without question), but I fear that my time would be wasted on someone who is biblically illiterate, and who has no desire to understand! Please, indulge my desire to understand. Or at the very least my desire to see you make an even more thorough ass of yourself. Two questions: Why is it that females who had slept with a man were a threat to "the people of God" (bad joke), and those who had not were not? How does sleeping with a man make a woman a threat to anyone? Do you honestly think that people who could put an entire civilization to the sword were capable of mercy? But I suppose these are things that only God understands. Steve

I am the LORD your God.'" It seems that if your god's intention was for men to only have sex with their wives it would have been easy to say so rather than have this list of off-limits women. I note that there is no prohibition of having sex with your slave, only not to have sex with a slave living with another man as spelled out in Lev. 19,20. Note also that 19 "'Do not approach a woman to have sexual relations during the uncleanness of her monthly period." implies that it is OK otherwise if she is not on the forbidden list. Of course I realize that I couldn't possibly understand what these words mean like you do. Please instruct me. Del
