Pressure D doesn't rattle the Heels like the others.

They are too well coached. You are right that from a strategic standpoint the best way to guard Cota is to gap him and tempt him to shoot the outside J. Coach K would never allow Avery to do that, however, because he has never been a "soft" man coach. Coach K's runs a physical, ball pressure system. I have always been fascinated by how Carolina plays against it. The ball movement is excellent. I would not doubt if they watch Princeton tapes to prepare. Back door cuts kill a denial D.

In the end, Duke probably just had too much to be denied in Cameron - where a questionable call has never been denied to home team. But from what I heard, Coach Gutt and the boys showed up to play. If there ever was a game for Duke to erase last years 97-73 whipping by the Heels I thought last night was it. The rematch ought to be interesting with Capel back in the line-up and with the Heels getting the questionable calls.

Gutt is the real deal. Hey Eddie, do you have any ins to the ACC tourney? I've got my plane and hotel but am still looking.

... Avery needed to take a step or two back and let Coat shoot the j ...

God forbid K actually adjusts his D to suit the situation. <g>
