There is no question that there is no basis for assigning any value to a company like AMZN. I see no prospects for earnings unless it raises prices (in which case it loses its marketing advantage). YHOO is a good company, but if I saw problems with AOL's stock price, they are several times worse with YHOO.

But to say that AOL has reasonable valuation or is safe is quite a stretch IMO. Answer me this question: where do you see AOL's earnings 10 years from now, and what must the company do to generate those earnings? This is not an idle exercise. If you cannot answer this question I wonder how you can justify being invested in this stock at these prices?
