Agreed......I firmly think many of the nets are ridiculously high....amazon, ebay etc....

AOL, I consider to be cheap. AOL is, and will be much more then simply an internet Co. In 5 or 10 years, they will be one of the largest Co's in the world. The first Media Gorilla of the new millenium and the internet age. You ask what must they do in 5 to 10 years to sustain, grow and flourish. Man, I get goose bumps when I think about what AOL will be in that time frame. I mean, if it can be done, AOL will do it. The future is an endless oasis of opportunity. Personally, I don't think AOL has even begun to scratch the surface...in 5 or 10 years they will be one big gigantic hairy gorilla, maybe the biggest and baddest of them all. JMHO, of course. Happy Trading.

Chuzzlewit, are you shorting on AOL? I cannot see why you spend
your time to explain the fundamentals to us other than you are
shorting on AOL.

Internuts buy future not what is in front of us, I cannot predict
how far can AOL go but can you certain AOL won't be the GE in
cyberspace industries?

<<<Answer me this question: where do you see AOL's earnings 10 years from now, and what must the company do to generate those earnings? >>>

If I knew that, I would know were to put my money and really profit.

Point is to think anyone can say they know were any company will be in 10 years is blowing smoke. Using some of yesterday valuation methods in today's business environment does not work. Long term any more is 1 to 3 years. The world changes to fast to go out any more than that and be useful. I have prepared forecast and budgets for business, using 5-year estimate proved no where near reality. Basically all we prepare were out 3 years and that was iffy.

I believe the real revenue stream will come from Netscape e-commerce in the future. Business saves a great deal of money using e-commerce and that will become the major source of income for AOL.

I just completed working on an e-commerce site for a major corporation and the study, which I did not participate in, used to justify the e-commerce site, had a pay out that was phenomenal. The site is for business to business use.

Thank You

JK

<where do you see AOL's earnings 10 years from now> Chuzz, that is impossible to answer in this rapidlychanging industry. I bet you couldnt even answer that with regard to Dell. Three or four years is about as far as I can see.
