This is my first post as an official member of Si. I just signed up today. I have been following this thread for about six months though. I just wanted to make a quick comment on the cancellation of Dark Star. Don't be alarmed, the Air Force is NOT abandoning UAV technology. In fact, it is embracing it. I am in the AF, and I stay very current on future technology development, both US and foreign. It is no secret that the Air Force vision for 20 years and beyond has UAVs playing a major role on the battlefield. As we say around the office, there will always be a threat....And there will always be an Air Force.
