<<Own any NOVL?>>
I do.
<<Tell me Ramesh, is criticizing your elders in public part of your culture?>>
You are assuming about age. I respect people who are more knowledgeable than me. You are certainly more knowledgeable than me when it comes to networking issues and analyzing the networking market with analytical mind. Don't bring culture into this. I am amazed at the way you pick on fights when someone who is more knowledgeable than you don't agree with you.
<<Since you didn't ask for any advice, I will not offer you any. >>
Thanks.

Paul, I was an ex-owner of NOVL, I had it for 2-3 years until
Sept. 1997.

Yes, I lost my pants on NOVL but I don't feel bitter because
I had the wrong perception on NOVL since the begining.

Now I look back and finally realize why I made the mistake:

Yes, Novell has better system than NT (which I am using and it sucks),
but NT has an operating platform and it is just like WIN95, 98.

User of NOVL never 'sees' the novell, but people 'sees' NT, invisible
is not going to work in this environment, it works in the 80's
because PC are not pretty in many ways, today, PC is much more
than the PC in the 80's.

Think about this: How many CEO's or chairmen or presidents using and
seeing window or NT? probably many of them, how many of them
'see' NOVEL?

So of course, MSFT has edges over Novell, coming to year 2000, there
will be no nore NT but window 2000, it is more advantage towards
msft and worse to novell, perception wise.

I used to read your post and I agreed with you a lot. But now
I see a 'losing war' and it is not worth of fighting.

I bailed out Novell since late 1997 and use the proceeds to buy
other stocks, and I am not only recovering but also way ahead
what I put in initially.

Principles are good things to hold, but wallet and reality are
more important nowaday, we buy stocks for making money not to
defend them with our wallet.

Sorry to budge in because I see your still around here to defend
your principles and I must express my 2 cents from an ex-commarade-in-novl.
