Well ,with 87 million in the bank and"Excluding the Impact of the items (writedowns)the 1998 fourth quarter net loss per share would have been $.04.",I think our favorite stock will be doing business a long time at that burn rate.

I think it is an excellent job of doing all the right things during a tough environment.

Now we need to see some of "the signs of improvement" that are cautiously acknowledged.

I like how they undug a million dollar windfall from "settlement of tax examinations for earlier years".This is why I like this company,they do things conservatively.Conservative mgt. always reserves this and that.It is during the tough times that these funds squirreled away can be recognised and pull you out of the depths of a worse than expected downturn.

Man I really like these guys - they make me feel comfortable having my money being overlooked by there professional and extremely conservative management practices.

I wonder what one of the net stocks would have done with that million dollar tax adjustment.Probably bought more advertising on their own port and talked about revenue growth <vlg>.

Job well done Cohu . Tomorrow we crank after the details are digested.
$ 8.92 cash per share.

My bigger worry on this stock is a tender for their cash!
