aps, this is the only thing that is troubling to me - restate? Restate what? Psft mgmt has always been above board as far as I can tell.

There was no chance psft would beat estimates this qtr, even if they did they would have reserved some for next qtr as we go into y2k which is completely uncertain. No enterprise sw company is going to blow out earnings this year for that reason I think.

I dont think psft will tank ala Sap, I think the bad news is built into the stock (although it may go down a little- 2-3 pts maybe?).

However a restatement is really a wildcard. This does appear to be bad news, where is Chuzzlewit with the details on what this means?

Means PSFT could be in deep trouble and this stock will become dead money for some time to come. I sure hope not ..but does not look good for us longs.
