Elmer,

Here are some SPECint95 numbers from the Compaq web site:

The top score is a Digital Alpha Server at 30.3
The closest non-Alpha score is 17.6
The results are from www.spec.org

Elmer,

I found some 767 MHz 21164 SPEC numbers from Kryotech -

23 SPECint95
25 SPECint95

kryotech.com

"Our costs are down. Our factory is geared up for volume production. This is a great time to buy the world's fastest workstation," said Rob DiGiacomo, executive vice president of marketing at KryoTech. Under the new promotion, complete systems pre-installed with Microsoft Windows NT start at $10,075 for commercial customers and $9,050 for educational customers. Complete DIGITAL UNIX based systems start at $12,875 and $11,025, respectively. Prices include a 3-year warranty from Compaq Customer Services.

KryoTech boosts the speed of Compaq's 600MHz Alpha workstation to 767MHz by cooling the processor to minus 40 degrees Celsius. The supercooled system has been featured in BackOffice Magazine, Pro/E: The Magazine, and Ziff-Davis TV (ZDTV). A growing number of Fortune 500 corporations and research institutions have purchased the KryoTech/DIGITAL 767 or are conducting in-house evaluations.

It really doesn't matter if the 800 MHz CPUs are 21164 or 21264. Intel can't compete with either one.
