Whoops! jumping ahead here on assumptions aren't we?

Agreed, limited market, not everyone needs this. Unemployment is still rather low in our U.S. economy. A lot of 'employees' work for small companies that do not have benefits or the Consumer may be self employed and would desire a discount program.

The Consumers are not necessarily credit risks under these conditions.

Why do you label it a 'scheme'? If the Company issues credit and does not get paid back by the Consumer, then the Company looses, not the Consumer. ""So"", (hence forth, the next logical step in a discussion) 'scheme' does not seem appropriate terminology here. Premium rates also exist with American Express, Visa, MasterCard. Depends, right?

With groups of Doctors and suppliers nationwide you can request a printed copy for your area. I don't need to ask my son, 'firstman' can ask me.

Granted, it is not needed by everyone, but there may be many interested consumers. If not, then they will close down. On this point, why assume the worse jhild? Do you think they went into business to go out of business? Perhaps they did the old market study that showed a need for this service.

So I guess it could go either way, not just down as you suggest.

Roger

"Have you wondered why they don't put the list of participating doctors and suppliers on line? Database web publishing is not that big a deal. Ask your son"

Panam is now working on just such a website. Not only will it be data base driven it will also be interactive where doctor can actually summit their bill and anyone wanting to sign up for the service will be able too.
Panam opened a separate office to handle all pertaining to the website. Its Located at Park AVe and 23rd ST. phone number is 212 590 2361. I posted this a couple of weeks ago.
Silver Fox has already visited the office and talked to the people involved with this. Hopefully he will have time this weekend to report on this. Prwt also just purchased their own internet service provider to handle this site.
