Hey, I'll bet 'lifeisgood' when you can do this:

I rode this stock down from low 20's to 12.5, bought a bunch more, held 30 days (to avoid wash sales rule), sold the stock I bought in the 20's for a tax loss, and am holding the shares I bought for 12.5

We overtaxed Canadians would have to average the purchase price of both lots to arrive at the acquisition cost (so if you bought as many shares again at 12.5 as you had at say 22, your average acquisition would be 17.25) for tax loss selling purposes.

That tears it...I'm movin' south of the border!<ggg>
