Hello Sonki. LU and Dell will do fine.

Message 7563521

A split does not make a stock better but it will give investors a chance to buy in round lots at a lower price and this is generally helpful to the stock price. I always say: If a stock is too high for you ( not meaning you ) buy 25 or 50 shares. It will turn into 100 some day especially if you buy it when a split is announced

Yeah, my wife and I caught the flu when the power outages hit for over 2 days. It took a while but we are almost back to normal. Still a bit washed out though. Science says that you don't catch a cold from being cold but after this, you could fool me. gg.

Sonny

Sonki: Re: high-heels, splits

Agree splits are irrational for spikes, (continuing the heel theme). Intc's split was not unexpected, usually announce in the 140-150 range. btw, have held amat and reading about 2000, 2001 prospects, new processes, stock price may still have 30% or> move by the summer?
OR: bubble bursts, everybody gets wet for awhile.
Again, thks for moral support on that one. Saw a ML utility analyst on Rukeyser tonight touting good old PE, which we discussed when it was a buy for them @ 38 some months ago, just where it is today. Might get a pop on Monday.

Regards, Royco

P.S. to Tony, Sonny--UIS is an OPPORTUNITY now, imho.

Good Morning Sonki,

I was just reviewing the week's performance on the Nasdaq and for the month. What an extraordinary performance. Just this week both AOL advanced 25% and Dell 20% to 100.It is my feeling for what it is worth that Dell will indeed announce good expectations with a stock split. We will be getting the results from another big gun this coming week and hopefully Cisco will add fuel to this explosive rally. The profit taking that was apparent in the morning vanished in the afternoon and it was so much more than I expected. A terrific week.

Take care
Best Wishes
Frank
