Clinton is seen by Women as a "good boy"...the kind you wanna take home for mom and dad...he's no "bad boy"...if he were, the gop wouldn't be assassinating him...

"Conservative" males do not want support an independent Woman...they are attempting to present that image by dangling Libby...
Bob Doles Bride...

Libby is an example of a dog that won't hunt...meaning, she's a nice enough Lady, but she's too obviously a "Trojan Horse"for the GOP...it's sad.

I think Clinton respects Women...I don't believe all the allegations...

Neocon,
<<[...]nor respond to my main point about conservatives being willing to support strong women, rather than being frightened of them>>

Yes, one only need look at the strong female republican majority on the House Judiciary Committee for confirmation of this. How dense can these liberals be not to see it?

And you didn't make clear whether or not you thought that Bill's behavior towards women was acceptable.

One odd thing - and am having a hard time pinpointing the issue here - is that the conservatives seem to think that Clintons sexual behavior towards women is all that matters to women. Am I reading that right? Because that in itself is very telling to me - it makes the conservatives look like sexists again, and many women think they are (I do). I dont care about some mans sex life and how he treats others sexually nearly as much as I care about whether or not he as a manager promotes them and pays them competitively. On the scale of importance, these 2 topics are not even close to being equal. Maybe thats the whole problem here. These conservatives just dont see women as equal beings and instead look at them as sex objects which means all that matters is sexual behavior.
