I've been using them recently because of the wide swings.

Looking at my book, on one trade late Friday I placed a stop then moved it down 3 times....5 minutes later, then 8 minutes after that then 7 minutes after that. I have examples where I moved a stop 2 and 3 minutes after placing it.

But one thing you should do if you are near the action is don't put a stop on x.00 or x.50; I saved a small winner Friday because the stop was at 82.10 -- they hammered away at 82 even but never went by it.

On the other hand, once it drops from there I would not wish to be sitting at 82.10 the next time it ran up because it's gonna blow through. I would be lucky to get better than 82.50 and most often worse.
