Yes Thomas, Yahoo! just leaves Ford in the dust!

Ford is one of the largest auto manufacturers in the world. If Ford does have a bunch of old crappy tooling machines in an oversize warehouse, so what? Why is this a liability? Are you saying that Ford stockpiles their used equipment as scrap?

And as for Antarctica, I am sure all the big merchants are falling all over themselves to get a piece of that huge antarctic pie!

Good point Thomas. However, this is a double edged sword you speak of. The fact that Yahoo can open up shop anywhere in the world in the blink of an eye means that their current and would be competitors can do the same. On the otherhand, does not any potential Ford competitor have huge barriers of entry to the auto business here or anywhere else in the world? It will be much easier for anybody to compete against Yahoo than it would be for anybody to compete against Ford. That assumes of course that Yahoo can prove they are worthy of competing against. They still do not make any real money to speak of do they? $0.21 per quarter per share for a $300+ stock? Right! And a good portion of that money comes from one of their largest shareholders, Softbank.
