I believe that a sitting President can't be indicted on criminal charges. This is a Constitutional mandate.

The VP can be, but the Pres. cannot ( I believe ). This compounds the Republican's dilemna about Gore. If Clinton resigned and Gore became Pres., the Rep's could not indict him on the campaign fund raising charge they have been throwing around. If Gore remains VP, then they could go after him ( especially when his turn to run for Pres. draws near.)

It seems the Republican's can't run for office on issues that win. The only thing that helps them is pointing a finger at their opponents;and, even this has stopped working now. They have to keep trying additional finger pointing because they can't win on issues. They can't stop this impeachment trial cause they have no issues to run on !!! LOL Their constituents have been herded so far to the right that the remaining 2/3 of the population cannot align with their political agenda.

"Slick", as you call him, smoked more Republicans today by asking Congress to join him in supporting the enforcement of the equal employment law which insures equal pay for women!!!! LOL This guy is one fabulous politician!!!!!! No wonder the Republicans are desperate to get rid of him.
