Brad,
Every thread starts with the opening post. Some of them are short, like on this thread. Some of them are long, you have to press "Page Down" twice just to get to the first post. We need to see the opening post only when we visit the thread for the first time. Then it becomes annoyance.
Is there a way to replace statements with links to them?

Brad,

For the last couple weeks SI's download times have been snail paced, making what I consider the best site on the net at least aggravating and often totally unusable. I am constantly getting stalled and server is not responding messages. I started reading the 50 new messages on the Dell thread at about 8:30 AM today and finally got to the last one at noon. Of course I read the WSJIE and tracked my positions at the same time but... Often after clicking NEXT I would read a full article elsewhere only to find that SI had still not loaded the next post. I realize that more members tend to slow things down but this is getting ridiculous.

I became a member before it cost but SI is fast becoming worth just what I paid for it due to your molasses like response times. If I was a paying member I would be asking for a refund at this point. Staring at a blank screen is not my idea of productive time. Checking out the threads I follow used to be something I looked forward to but lately it is something I almost dread and I am having a hard time justifying the time spent trying to keep current.

Is it time to call Dell and order some more servers? Or is the bottleneck somewhere else?
