Maintenance depends on a LOT of factors... amount of use, how far inland you slip it, covered / uncovered slip... you know... Whether or not you do it yourself or pay someone else.

For a 29' NEW Sea Ray, after you've spent an extra $8-10,000 on things that you just 'have' to have, that you did not think about up front, I would budget around $500 per month - or $6,000 per year for incidentals. For a 5 year old or older craft, double that. This is budget now, you can always find something else you need.

A lot of people can do with a lot less, but I want everything working, and some people fell I am a fanatic about fixing things - so I spend a little more than most. And I like gadgets. I put just about anything electronic in/on my toys. Like permanently mounted Laptops that function as a laptop, but can also be used as a GPS, or TV (with a built in tuner where the floppy goes) - Don't forget one in the forward head. :-)

Don't forget $500-$1000 for a good set of tools. Get $1000 of spare parts and some way to store them. You don't want to loose a fuel pump on one of the engines while you are on your way to the islands or anything.
