It's certainly one point of view. I wish I had the link, but last week someone on a yhoo thread posted a link to an article written by the president of cisco systems who wrote that the net is a revolution comparable to the industrial revolution, one that permeates the activity of essentially everything we do and which will forever alter our economy and lives. A good article from the other side. I spent a few years saying the bubble would burst, that this was no different than biotechs, just another flash in the pan. Until I realized that all my rationalizing wasn't changing what was happening. My 94 year old father, together with his altacaca cronies, all had computers and were online (porno sites, I suspect). But the point became clear to me that fighting this was missing the point. It's here, it's happening whether we admit it or not, and it has indeed changed everything. So I put my arms around it and embraced it. And not only has it paid off handsomely, if for nothing but the time being, but it has proven to me, everytime I secretly started to think that maybe the bubble will burst, that there is such a groundswell of support and belief, eluding many business writers because they simply can't adequately explain it or make it fit into their theories, a whole new groundswell of support and activity came about that left me breathless. I don't know where, or when, it will stop, but for me it has changed my entire point of view as to commerce. I now cannot imagine life with the net, and believe strongly that we are still in its infancy with so much promise yet to be developed. Just my view. Time will tell. SHG
