Brad and all,

HUMMMMMMMMMMMM.........Oracle 8 and Identix. Some interesting tidbits in this page to think about...

<<excerpt>>Biometric Authentication

Considered the ultimate technology to record a user's identity, biometric authentication is based on a physical characteristic of an individual. The Oracle Advanced Networking Option supports biometric devices to identify a user logging in. Using an Oracle® Enterprise Manager-based applet, the Biometric Manager enrolls each user by scanning their fingerprints and storing them in a central Biometric Authentication Server. The stored print is compared to the print read by the Identix TouchNet fingerprint scanner at sign-on time. This technology eliminates password stealing or "borrowing." And because biometric authentication is based on the user's fingerprint, traditional problems of forgotten passwords and lost tokens are eliminated.
