Re "Is your mom your sister too?'

Guy who sits next to me at work is an IU grad who, like you, also is a solid Hoosier athletic supporter.

Like you, he struggles with the fact that Bobby Knight still coaches the program. He and I both agree that Knight never really adapted well to changes in the college game, i.e., the shot clock. Mostly, though, he struggles with all the years that Knight has spent intimidating players ... with many of those players taking their athletic supporters elsewhere ... and the fact that doesn't help recruiting on a short- or long-term basis. Yes, Bobby has a splendid record in getting his charges to graduate on time. Dicky V usually points that out when he's doing an Indiana game. I can't emphasize how important that is to the average fan with a remote in one hand and a Budweiser in the other.

Once or twice I've suggested to my friend that he form a "Hoosiers Anonymous" chapter in Cincinnati to try to cope with the Knight situation, but he usually responds with a "your sister is your mother line," or some such.

Anyway, let's just all remember that this is just a game ... something to occupy our time before carp fishing season on the Big Sandy River gets into full swing.
