"GTCC TO FIERCELY COMPETE WITH AT&T AND USA TALKS.COM by Offering Flat Rate Long Distance Plan 1/28/99 12:43"

Hmm, this press release does not sound to good to me on the timing front. Talk about bad timing and bad name associations....

"GTCC Increases Array of Long Distance Services and Creates New E-Commerce Niche

COSTA MESA, Calif., Jan. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- In addition to offering its
5.9 cents per minute long distance rate, GTC Telecom
(OTC Bulletin Board: GTCC) today announced that it will introduce a flat rate
long distance package that will compete with similar services recently offered
by companies like AT&T (NYSE: T) and USA Talks.com, Inc.
(OTC Bulletin Board: USAT).
This service will utilize GTC Telecom's proprietary voice over IP
technology and private network backbone, providing customers with outstanding
clarity and quality.
Eric Clemons, GTC Telecom's Chief Operating Officer stated, "We are
extremely pleased to be able to offer our customers this technology with the
clarity included from a private network backbone. In addition, our flat rate
program will be significantly easier to use than other existing programs.
With GTC Telecom there will be no access numbers to dial or codes to remember.
The customer will continue to dial their long distance telephone calls as
normal, simply 1 plus the number."
Clemons continued, "GTC plans to launch the flat rate program on
February 15, 1999 simultaneously with our e-commerce long distance calling
card store that is mirrored after Amazon.com (Nasdaq: AMZN). We plan to
announce more details regarding this service and many of GTC's other new
products on our February 1st conference call."
"Telecommunications is an exciting industry and now that GTC has been able
to combine this market sector with the e-commerce industry, we believe that we
are creating our own market niche, much like the online auctioneers EBAY
(Nasdaq: EBAY), Onsale, Inc. (Nasdaq: ONSL) and Ubid, Inc. (Nasdaq: UBID)
recently did," stated Clemons.
In order to receive more information regarding the conference call, please

To sign up and/or receive more information on the Company's long distance
services, access GTC Telecom's website at www.gtctelecom.com.
Founded in 1997, GTC Telecom is an interexchange carrier, providing long
distance service to small and medium sized businesses as well as residential
customers throughout the United States. Currently, GTC believes that they
have the lowest long distance rates nationwide. GTC's long distance service
offerings include outbound service, inbound toll-free 800 service, and
dedicated private line services for data. GTC's position as an interexchange
carrier gives the company the ability to function as a large telecom company
but alleviates the overhead, thus allowing GTC to have rates lower than many
of their competitors. Visit GTC's web site at www.gtctelecom.com.

Check out TIER a CA based Y2K shop that is dependent upon Humana for 50-80% of revenues in any one quarter. Humana is merging with Colombia and new management does not care to use TIER. Insider sales have been picking up pace and the window opens February 4. Apparently they are lined up. As well, questionable capitalization of software issues.
