SO, >>>>> I agree with you that things are not equal around the globe. However, what they are experiencing is necessary if they plan on competing in this world wide market. What these countries need today is to allow the free flow of capital as well as giving their people the ability to participate in their economy. The gap between rich and poor is much wider outside of the U.S. I think your comments about the Germans and Americans dominating their tourism (and the lack of Japanese) nails it right on the head. Countries that fail to make the necessary changes today will be left at the starting gate <<<<<< What you say has strong merit and believed by most including myself. Now heres a different perspective. Regardless there is a great imbalance which could be caused by a dictator/inscrupulous government - an imbalance exits. Sure those countries will be left behind, but the imbalance still exists and may widen. Saying that they will be left behind does not eliminate the imbalance. It is not an issue either of right or wrong, just that there is an imbalance. With imbalances strong negatives of human nature become quite apparent, where the countries/leaders of the have-not countries become jealous of the countries which have. Yes those countries will be left behind, wherever the fault lies, and the imbalance grows which increases negative environment where the ugly side of human nature may arise (IE: WAR). So I agree with you that they will be left behind, but the IMBALANCE still exists. EDIT: Im am reluctant to post such, since it may give the appearance that Im a loney angry sole, but Im really not - I do have a good sense of humor. gggggggggggggggggggg seeya
