Sooner or later people will make the connections in this kind of behavior, and people like Packwood, Kennedy and Clinton just can't stand the heat. That's why we should never elect politicians on the basis of how they look or what they say -- only what they do. In this case, it's too late for that. Packwood wasn't too bad in the productivity department but even he didn't want people reading his diaries in open hearings. And he's gone.
