Nope. Just plain wrong again. The tax cuts did increase revenues, its just that the profligate Congress spent even more than those increases. JLA

Artie Laffer's napkin theory wasn't original nor can anyone deny it's self evident truth. With a 0% tax rate you collect 0 dollars. With 100% tax rate you collect 0 dollars - why work? There is a tax rate somewhere in the middle that maximizes tax collections. Duh.

The argument is about where we are on the curve. He thought we were past the point of maximum return so that if we reduced rates returns would rise. Others disagree.
