This always seems to be an unknown... buuuut I did notice that on 1/22, a significant share placement was made for Salomon Smith Barney. It looks like about 3.6 million shares or 10%. Now, I never really can figure out how to read the SEC statements but it would be informative of someone who can to comment on this recent filing...

The company does not reveal design win customers, but increasing business with Intel may be a clue. Given the known customer list (e.g. 3Com, Bay Networks, Cisco, Fore, Ascend), I suspect many of the wins are with current customers.

Another clue is the company's partnership with SMSC. This may put them a little closer to the mainstream PC market - time will tell. The traditional applications for its products -- switches, interface cards, printers, routers, workstations, etc. -- is not a bad place to be. Note company's spending on R&D in 1998 compared to past years, resulting in several new products and hence design wins. Stay tuned.

Martin and all: Design wins from a November 13 article.
fnews.yahoo.com
<The company has started selling in significant volumes to several new customers -- Bay Networks, Cabletron (NYSE:CS - news) and Xircom (Nasdaq:XIRC - news) -- and has just now secured new design wins with Berkeley Networks, Xircom and Intel's (Nasdaq:INTC - news) switching
group.>
Anyone know Berkeley Networks or what chips Seeq sells to them or Intel? There was a news release about the Xircom design win.
