It seems everyone is overly optimistic on CSCO's earning, which makes me a little scarred. Did I hear "Buy on rumor, sell on fact"? Should I sell some longs into the rally tomorrow if it does happen? EOM.

from Briefing.com:

...In fact, Briefing expects Cisco to beat numbers by more than usual ... Key will be the company's comments regarding the future ... As long as management adopts a generally bullish outlook, stock will keep climbing - especially if management announces a stock split ... Briefing expects a 3:2 split.

There shall be a stock split for many reasons, foremost being that Chambers is not about to devalue the currency he will be using to buy the 12+ companies this year. Fresh in memory is IBM's mishandling of its split.
