Thomas,>>> Haven't you heard the one about their editorial motto?<<<

It seems they don't have any real news to cover on Power Lunch today and they are spending quite a bit of time reporting problems with E*trade online this morning. They are reporting that the system is done and they are calling customer service and reporting to a national audience that they are put on hold. This is not news. Every online trading system has been down at one time or another during trading hours.

It is just unfortunate for E*trade they are down when CNBC does not have much material to fill air time. Doesn't seem to be fair.

BTW I have no interest in E*trade. I don't own the stock and I don't use their serice.

Mary

Tom, for the most part, I agree. But, today was a major exception -- they reported the E*Trade outage. I see that as a MAJOR step forward. Now, if they will only do the same for the other online brokers, maybe enough pressure can be applied to snap some of them into line.

Then, maybe we can get them to start looking at market makers ...
