We've been sharing our amazement at the number of dollars mentioned in the release. I've also been quite amazed at the absolute number of holograms involved. It sounds like every single item produced in the country may be tagged with a hologram. But corruption, as mentioned above, is so bad, we have to worry that even the distribution of the holograms themselves will soon be corrupted.

I was watching PBS a couple of nights ago. The program was about the American revolution and included discussion of the problems that England had in collecting taxes from the Colonies. The Revenues Act and the Stamp Act were both disastrous for England. I hope that Russians (for their own good), don't react toward holograms the way the Colonists did toward the Stamp Act. (All the holograms are is a different type of stamp). Like they say, those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it...
