The VSE has a web site i would suggest you start with it. I have used it for insider trading info.

The stockwatch web site also has a link to the British Columbia Securities Commission you could try them. Check out their web site.

You can try the SEDAR web site - sedar.com - basically the same as Edgar in the US. Nearly every Canadian stock has all official filings, press releases, etc. on there. I have found it great for finding out information about Canadian stocks.

I can also recommend WSRN - wsrn.com - it will dump a lot of info for both US and Canadian companies.
