Post date 06-18-1998 Aqua-1 Beverage Company is an international distributor of nutraceuticals and a major distributor of bottled water in Western Canada, trading on the Vancouver Stock Exchange, trading symbol AQB. It can be bought through U.S. brokers under the U.S. booking symbol AQBEF. It is a reporting company to the U.S. SEC. The company has only recently entered the nutraceutical beverage market. After a rough start, it is going strong, with new contracts in the U.S. alone already increasing its expected revenue by 500%, plus distribution in the Middle East and Asia. I've followed the company for about two years now, and am confident in the long-term viability and success of the company. Revenues are expected to increase ten times (1000%) over the next twelve months from last year. This is not a high estimate; already, contracts signed with distributors give them over half that amount. The company has little competition in its niche, which is low-priced, value-added (i.e., vitamins, herbs, protein) beverages that taste good and really work (I drink them myself, daily). They contain B-vitamins, great for energy and balance and also for one's heart; plus herbs such as: SuperCharge, with Ginseng and Royal Jelly, and Brainwave with Ginkgo Biloba and Choline (and more!). They will soon introduce a beverage for people seeking to lose weight. If you're in the U.S., you can buy them at your local Super K-Mart. They will soon be in over 600 stores in the northeast as well. Also 39 Wal-Mart stores in the northeast carry AQB's nutraceuticals, as they have for about two years now with regular repeat orders. Aqua-1's web site includes a newsletter which is infrequently updated, and also the phone number for investor relations so you can get the latest information. The investor relations number is: 1-800-680-6435. Nutraceuticals are an exciting area to invest in; this is doubly true for a low-priced stock like AQB, which has major new contracts and increased revenues. You'll want to be clear on this with your broker when you buy, my broker gives quotes in Canadian, but when I go to buy they state the U.S. price. You can access the price of the Canadian dollar on most quote servers, including Yahoo (which uses symbol ^CCD ). Multiply it by the Canadian price the stock is quoted at, and you have it in U.S. funds. Some U.S. brokers trade directly on the VSE, which is an auction market. However, most use a market maker, which sets the bid and ask prices. The U.S. booking symbol is AQBEF. The Vancouver exchange has some bad press, but mainly because of "exploration companies", which may or may not strike gold/oil/whatever. AQB is not an exploration stock, therefore does not fall into the same category. There are many good and stable (and high-capitalization) companies listed on the VSE. My due diligence has shown me that this is a real company, with real products, contracts, contacts, distribution channels, and a professional team of men and women working to increase shareholder value by creating products which consumers can enjoy, benefit from -- and which most people can afford to drink daily. I believe the stock price will soon reflect what's happening with contracts and revenues, and that those of us who've been patient, or are just now investing in it, will be well rewarded.. In addition, I expect them to continue to get more contracts and increased revenues, making the stock a continuing good long-term investment, even at prices much higher than now. This is my opinion, of course. I assume all will do their own due diligence. Good luck and great investing! Ron | ||||||||||||
