<<Tell me why??>>

Personally, I do not like ensoniq. Their sound cards I felt were sub par, with very weak drivers. Never had nor heard of anyone having a positive experience with and Ensoniq product. Hey if Gateway, H-P, Quantex, Intergraph, Packard-Bell, and others wish to use the lowest bidder then that is their perogative. But just for the record, if I was in the market for a complete system, out of those manufacturers, I would only consider (not necessarily buy) from Gateway, and definately not with an Ensoniq product.
Let me ask you, if you were to build a system with the best parts available would you use and Ensoniq audio or video card? I built my system, and I can tell you that I didn't.

Abit BH6, Cas 2 128meg memory, 300A Celeron that sometimes pretends its a 450 (grin), SBLive, Supermicro 750a case, Metabyte Wicked3d Vengence, Creative Encore5x DVD, HP 8110i Burner, Jaz 2GB, ZIP, 3Com Courier I-ISDN adapter, WD SCSI card (only part I don't like), IBM Deskstar 16.8 Gig Drive, Nanao T2-17TS (great monitor for its time) ... assorted scanners, Joysticks, mice.... OH and an AWESOME set of Bose Acoustimass computer speakers with the sub.

Hopefully you don't work for Ensoniq, Marc, and I appoligize now if you do. But they quite simply don't have the reputation that Creative as a whole does. Even at that I bought a Creative V2 when they came out and returned it shortly thereafter due to a faulty board. Don't get me wrong, I love Creative products (bought sb, sb 2, sb16, sb 16asp, AWE32 (the old good one with the memory upgrades), and a SBLIVE) just don't want anything to do with Ensoniq. And really, I feel that CREAF bought Ensoniq primarily for that darn PCI64 part because Ensoniq started running away with the PCI segment and caught CREAF with their pants down.
