Say it ain't so !! <g>

cbs.marketwatch.com

"Adding to the gravity of the situation, our channel checks indicate that
K6-2 400 MHz based Compaqs, priced at about $1,500, are not selling
well," Kumar said. He also noted that while Gateway plans to use AMD
chips in PCs sold in Japan, those units will amount to less than 10 percent
of Gateway's computer sales.

Mike, have you done any serious thinking about Neurogen lately?
I have bought back in 1/3 after the disappointment a few days ago with
results on an anxiety compound (was very lucky to get out of a
14's to 17's trade a few days before!)...
but this is at least the third, possibly the fourth, time I've bought NRGN in such a situation, relying on their pipeline, and
while they were all good for 50% or more over a period of months to
a year, you have to wonder when you keep getting these "buying
opportunities"? You may want to check the Neurogen thread; some
interesting though inconclusive exchanges there.

Would appreciate your recent thoughts on CEGE, especially their
financial position; I'm becoming more and
more convinced they have extremely interesting technology and am trying to keep exposed to them (though I just flipped my last third
today.) (Did you know the program that handles Waterhouse's online
trading is called "flipper.cgi" -g-? I like a brokerage--- or a
programmer--- with a sense of humor!

Cheers,

HB

One more thing, re neurobiotech, seems worthwhile checking out this
site (for an expensive newsletter):
neuroinvestment.com
Some of the freebies might be of use, e.g. the .pdf issue from Nov.
97 has an interesting list of companies that can serve as a reminder
of how much competition there is in this
area (and most other areas, probably) of biotech!

Cheers,

Mike,

I see they didn't welcome you on the CPQ thread. <G> Well I think think your comments have a lot of merit. CPQ has had three horrendous Qtrs followed by a mediocre 4th Qtr. I guess that is why the stock soared to new highs. <G>

Why was your thread mentioned in the New York Times? I didn't get a chance to read the article, does anyone have a link?

Dale
