Why should Cincy be #1? They lost to UNCC, which isn't even a top 25 team.

Thomas:

Bearcats have had a habit this season of playing down to their opposition. They won in the last minute at Dayton, sleep-walked through the loss to UNC-Charlotte, and also were extremely lucky to have beaten a very good Minnesota team on the road. On the other hand, I see your point. UC did beat Duke before a decidedly pro-Duke crowd in Alaska, albeit on a trick play of sorts in the final two seconds. But, still, they did come back to win after Duke rallied from a large deficit to actually take the lead late in the game.

Objectively speaking, if Duke were to play Cincinnati 10 times, Duke would probably win seven of the games, but the same probably could have been said last year vs. Kentucky. Duke, at least in my opinion, is clearly the No. 1 team in the country. I wonder, though, what Duke's record would be if they played a Big 10 schedule this season.
