AMDs K6 original pricing was suppossed to be 25% below the Pentium II.
The Celeron wasn't a factor because of the no L2 cache and low speeds.
Then came the Celeron A...300 and 333. Still not too bad for AMD...
Then Intel brought out the big gun. The Celeron 366 and 400 and next the 433 3 months early...not only that they cleaned house with the 300 and 333 and dropped the 366 and 400 preying on AMD.

As far as AMD being a predator on Intel, can mouse prey on a Gorilla?
